This Privacy Policy explains how Remote Employee LLC and Remote Employee BPO (together, “Remote Employee®,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit remoteemployee.com, use our talent marketplace or the RE Portal (together, the “Services”), or contact us.

Who we are
The Services are operated by Remote Employee LLC, 929 Childs St, Wheaton, IL 60187, USA. Our Philippine operations, including the employment of Remote Employee® staff, are run by Remote Employee BPO in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, work email, phone number, company, and job title, plus role requirements, job descriptions, interview availability, and messages you send through forms, chat, email, or calls.
- Account information: your RE Portal login details, settings, and the positions and team members you manage.
- Information collected automatically: pages viewed, links clicked, how you scroll and interact with pages (including through session recording tools), referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location based on IP address, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. - Information from others: business contact details from partners, event organizers, data providers, and advertising platforms, where permitted by law.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and schedule consultations;
- recruit against your job descriptions, arrange interviews, and onboard and manage your team through the RE Portal;
- operate, secure, and improve the Services;
- send marketing emails and newsletters, which you can unsubscribe from at any time;
- measure our advertising and show you our ads on other websites and apps; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
How we share information
We don’t sell personal information for money. We share it:
- with service providers that support our business, such as hosting, CRM, email, analytics, chat, and scheduling providers, acting on our behalf;
- with advertising partners, including Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Meta, and Reddit, to measure campaigns and show our ads to you on other websites and apps. Some US state laws treat this as “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. See Your privacy choices and rights;
- between Remote Employee LLC and Remote Employee BPO to deliver the Services;
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our clients, staff, and the Services;
- as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; and
- with your consent.
AI assistants and integrations
If you connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to the RE Portal through our MCP server, the assistant can access the RE Portal information your account is allowed to see, based on the requests you make. Information you share with or receive through that assistant is also handled by its provider under that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect the assistant at any time.
International transfers
We operate in the United States and the Philippines. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in either country, and by service providers in other countries. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as while you have an account or an active business relationship with us, and as required for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes. After that, we delete or anonymize it.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls and secure networks, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy choices and rights
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Cookies and ads: manage cookies in your browser and through our Cookie Policy. You can also adjust ad preferences with Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and Reddit.
- Targeted advertising: depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of sharing personal information for targeted advertising. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of our website or email us. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
- Access, correction, and deletion: depending on where you live, including under US state privacy laws and the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain uses. Email us to make a request. We’ll verify your identity before acting on it, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
- Philippines: you may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
- Do Not Track: some browsers send Do Not Track signals. Because there’s no common standard for them, our website doesn’t currently respond to them.
Children
The Services are for businesses and aren’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, the Services, or legal requirements change. We’ll post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date. Where a change is material, we may also give you additional notice.
