This Cookie Policy explains how the Remote Employee® website at remoteemployee.com uses cookies, browser storage, and content provided by other services.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device or browser. They can help websites remember information about your visit, maintain functionality, understand how a website is being used, or support advertising and marketing.
Websites can also store information in your browser in other ways, including session storage and local storage.
In this policy, we use “cookies” as a general term for cookies and similar browser technologies unless we explain otherwise.
How we use cookies
Remote Employee® uses browser storage and similar technologies to help our website work properly and make forms and other website features easier to use.
For example, we may use them to:
- carry information from one step of a form to the next;
- pre-fill information you have already entered during the same browsing session;
- remember temporary choices you make while using the website;
- take you to the correct next step after submitting a form; and
- support content provided by third-party services.
Some third-party content on our website may also use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with it. You can read more about these services below.
Cookies and browser storage we use
We use session storage for some website functions. Session storage temporarily saves information in your browser and is generally cleared when you close the browser tab or session.
The website currently uses the following session-storage items:
re-booking
Stores the consultation time you selected and information you entered during the booking process so we can show those details again on the confirmation or thank-you page.
re-start-email
Remembers the work email address you entered when requesting access to the RE Portal so you do not have to enter it again on the next step.
re-prefill
Stores information you have already provided during the current session so relevant forms can be pre-filled instead of asking you to enter the same details again.
re-cta-closed
Remembers when you close the “Fill staffing gaps in 14 days” banner so it stays closed as you continue browsing during that session.
re-book-now
Temporarily records that you submitted the “Talk to a recruiter” form so the booking calendar can open automatically on the following page. This item is removed after that page opens.
These items are used to support website functionality and the information stored in them is not used by Remote Employee® for advertising.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies will only be used after you have been given the appropriate choice or provided consent.
Content from other services
Some pages on our website include maps, videos, podcasts, or other content provided by third-party services.
Those providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies when their content loads or when you interact with it. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
Google Maps
We may use Google Maps on our contact, location, and office pages.
Google may collect information and use cookies or similar technologies when a map loads or when you interact with it. Google's privacy policies apply to its processing of that information.
YouTube
We may embed YouTube videos in our Resource Center, blog posts, and other pages.
Where YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode is used, YouTube limits the use of cookies before you interact with an embedded video. YouTube and Google may collect information when you play or otherwise interact with the video.
Google's privacy policies apply.
Spotify
Some Resource Center pages may include embedded Spotify podcast players.
Spotify may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information when its player loads or when you interact with it.
Spotify's privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can control cookies and other stored website data through your browser.
Most browsers allow you to:
- see which cookies or website data have been stored;
- delete existing cookies and stored data;
- block some or all cookies;
- block third-party cookies; and
- change how websites can store information on your device.
Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how some parts of our website work.
For example, blocking third-party technologies may prevent embedded maps, videos, or podcast players from working correctly. Restricting browser storage may mean information cannot be carried between steps and you may need to enter the same details again.
If our website uses non-essential analytics or advertising cookies that require consent under applicable law, you will be given appropriate controls to accept, reject, or manage those cookies.
You can opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising through the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of our website. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
Your browser's privacy controls may also affect how third-party services operate when you visit our website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technologies used on our website change, when we add or remove third-party services, or when legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Effective” or “Last updated” date.
If we introduce new analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies that require your consent, we will provide any notices and choices required by applicable law before those cookies are used.
